Clients
List your agency's clients, check that each one is sending events, and add a new client with its keys and install snippet.
Overview
The Clients screen lists every client linked to your agency. Click a client to open it. The whole workspace, and the chat panel, then focus on that client until you switch back to All clients in the top bar.
Read the list
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Client | The name and website |
| Status | Active, or Disabled when the client is turned off |
| Plan | The client's plan. A client without its own plan uses your agency's |
| Events (24h) | Events received in the last 24 hours |
| Last event | When the latest event arrived, or No events yet |
Use the search box to find a client by name or domain. A client with no events for a long time usually lost its snippet, for example after a site rebuild.
Add a client
Create it
Click Add client, enter the client's name and, optionally, its website, and click Create client. The client starts on your agency's plan and can take events right away. Adding a client needs an active subscription.
Install the snippet
The dialog shows the client's keys and the install snippet. Paste the
snippet into the <head> of every page on the client's site. You can find
it again later on the client's Tracking screen.
Check the first event
The dialog watches for the first event and shows First event received when it arrives, usually within a minute of a page view. Send a test event sends a test page view if you want to check before the site is live.
The client's keys
| Key | Use it for |
|---|---|
Publishable key (pk_) | The install snippet. It is safe on a public website |
Secret key (sk_) | Read-only API access to this one client, from your server. Never put it in a website |
| Client id | Naming the client in API calls made with your agency key |
If the dialog says Mythic created the client but didn't finish setting it up, events are refused until that finishes. Ask the assistant in the chat panel to rebuild the client's config.
For developers
Clients are created on the provisioning API. See Onboard a client.
