ScreensMetric definitions

Metric definitions

Define what a lead, a purchase or revenue means for each client, so the assistant measures it the same way every time.

Overview

A metric definition says what a business term means for one client. For example, a lead might be "a contact created from any form", and revenue might be "the sum of value on order_completed". The assistant reads these definitions before it builds any chart, so "how many leads last week?" gets the same answer every time. Open a client and choose Metric definitions.

Add a definition

  1. Click Add definition.
  2. Enter a Name, such as Lead, and an optional Description.
  3. Pick the Event. The list shows this client's real events with their counts for the last 30 days.
  4. Pick the Measure:
    • Count of events
    • Unique users
    • Unique sessions
    • Sum of a property or Average of a property, then pick the Property
  5. Optionally click Add filter to count only some events. Pick a property, an operator (such as is, is one of, contains or is set) and a value. For is one of, separate values with commas.
  6. Check the preview of the last 30 days, then click Add definition.

Edit or delete

Each definition shows its name and a plain description of what it counts. Click Edit to change it. Deleting a definition stops the assistant from using it. Mythic data is not touched.
