People & segments
Look up a client's visitors, open a person's profile and history, save segments, and see the journeys that lead to a conversion.
Overview
The People & segments screen lists the visitors Mythic has seen on a client's site, identified and anonymous. Open a client and choose People. The screen has three tabs: People, Segments and Journeys.
People
Search by name, email or company. Each row shows:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Person | Name, email or user id. Identified means Mythic has an email or user id for them. Anonymous means it has neither yet. |
| First source | The channel of their first visit. |
| Last source | The channel of their most recent visit. |
| Sessions | How many visits they have made. |
| Last seen | When they last visited. |
When a visitor later fills in a form or is identified another way, Mythic links their earlier anonymous visits to the same person.
A person's profile
Click a person to open their profile:
- Profile: email, user id, first and last seen, sessions, devices and country.
- Identities: every identifier Mythic has linked to this person, with its type.
- First touch and Last touch: the channel, source and medium, campaign, referrer, landing page and device of their first and latest visits.
- Events: everything they did, newest first, with the page and source of each event.
Segments
A segment is a saved set of person filters, such as everyone with an email who came from paid search. Membership is worked out live, so a segment always reflects the latest data. Each card shows the segment's size.
- View members opens the People tab filtered to the segment. Click Show everyone to clear it.
- Ask agent asks the assistant in the chat panel about the segment.
- New segment builds one from these filters. People must match every
filter you set:
- Has an email
- Last-touch utm_source, for example
google - Minimum sessions
- Active within (days)
Deleting a segment removes its definition. The people in it are not affected. For more complex segments, ask the assistant to build one.
Journeys
Journeys show the paths people took before they converted.
- Choose a Goal event, such as a purchase or a form submission. Goals need at least one conversion in the last 30 days.
- For GoHighLevel appointment and opportunity status events, choose an Outcome, such as an appointment that showed or an opportunity that was won.
- Optionally choose Revenue from to add revenue, such as the GoHighLevel order or payment amount.
- Choose Label journeys by (Channel, Source / medium or Campaign) and a Goal range of 30 or 90 days.
The screen then shows:
- How many people reached the goal, how many of them have a tracked journey, the median time to convert, and revenue if chosen.
- Paths to the goal: the most common journeys, one step per visit, oldest first, with people, share, revenue and time to convert. Mythic looks back up to 90 days before each conversion. Visits referred by the client's own site do not count as touches.
- People by channel, source or campaign, credited by First touch, Last touch or Split evenly across every touch.
